STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
[DIM]11pt“Crying in the chapel” venne composta da Artie Glenn nel 1953 e venne registrata da suo figlio Darrell nello stesso anno. Il brano raggiunse il 7° posto della classifica Country ed il 9° in quella Best Selling Singles.
Sempre in quell’anno si contano altre versioni di “Crying in the chapel” fra le quali quella di Rex Allen, Sonny Til and The Orioles (1° posto nella classifica Rhythm’n’Blues) e di June Valli.
Nel 1957 anche Anita Wood registrò questa canzone religiosa.
